Âéw¶¹´«Ã½’s Law School team worked and played hard to raise a huge £2,373 for access to justice charities, earning their gold award for raising more than £2,000.

The Advocate and LawWorks Law School Challenge is a fundraising initiative created to promote a pro bono ethos and raise money for free legal advice. Universities and law schools around the UK compete to raise funds for access to justice for those who need it most.

Over the year, Âéw¶¹´«Ã½’s incredible team have organised an imaginative mix of fundraising events – the Law and Disorder quiz, a ‘lectures in clown make-up’ day, the Java for Justice networking event and a Lost in Leicester challenge (thanks to Steven Mather, Kash Dosanjh, Kally Sahota and Percy Emmett for making the excellent team hoodies possible).

Our very determined law students – supported by tutors Sharan Sandhu, Serena Boulton and Alwyn Jones – worked as a team throughout, connecting with legal professionals, building a strong community and having a lot of fun along the way. Special thanks also to the lawyers who were generous with their time, encouragement and guidance at the Java for Justice event.

Congratulations Âéw¶¹´«Ã½ Law School – a strong case presented and won!
