I am a Senior Lecturer and a registered Paramedic, having qualified in 2016. Throughout my clinical career, I have worked on the frontline responding to emergency and urgent care calls, providing assessment, treatment, and life-saving interventions across a wide range of medical and traumatic emergencies. This has enabled me to develop extensive experience in emergency care, pre-hospital trauma management, resuscitation, and clinical decision-making in high-pressure environments. Alongside my operational role, I have worked within an NHS Trust's Education Department, designing and delivering education and competency-based training to a diverse range of healthcare professionals. This experience has strengthened my passion for developing others and supporting learners to build confidence and clinical competence.
I also work as a part of a hospital avoidance service, with the main aim of reducing admissions for vulnerable patient groups and providing care within their home environment.
I am passionate about creating engaging learning experiences and enjoy bringing real-world clinical practice into the classroom. My particular interests include simulation-based learning and high-fidelity education, using realistic scenarios to develop students' clinical reasoning, technical skills, teamwork, and confidence in preparation for professional practice.
